Business DevelopmentOver the past two years, I played a pivotal role in transforming Uphold’s Institutional business from a simple newsletter into a fully operational OTC desk. This transformation encompassed a broad range of initiatives, beginning with the creation of a compelling value proposition that resonated with institutional clients and differentiated Uphold in a competitive market. I focused on developing a strong, cohesive brand and refining the business’s market positioning to align with industry needs and growth opportunities. A critical part of this transformation involved designing and executing a comprehensive product roadmap. Working closely with internal teams, I ensured the alignment of product features with client needs, while also engaging external partners to drive innovation. Notable achievements include the seamless integrations with Talos and Hidden Road, which enhanced functionality, streamlined operations, and improved client experience. In parallel, I built and scaled a robust sales funnel targeting a diverse range of institutional clients, including Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, ETP Providers, Family Offices, and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs). This involved implementing strategic outreach, building trust within the ecosystem, and customizing solutions to meet client needs. By the time of my departure, the institutional business had successfully onboarded and activated 60 clients, laying the foundation for sustained growth and increased market share.

Additionally, I will identify and onboard third-party service providers, such as custodians and liquidity partners, to enhance operational efficiency and safeguard assets. On the business development front, I will facilitate partnerships and integrations with DeFi protocols, institutional market makers, and custodians to improve yield generation, liquidity access, and capital efficiency. By leveraging my extensive network and deep understanding of the digital asset ecosystem, I will deliver value-added solutions that not only optimized treasury performance but also enhanced the protocol’s positioning and attractiveness to stakeholders, including investors, token holders, and ecosystem participants.
